There are a few ways to melt ice on concrete without causing damage:
- Use de-icing salt or calcium chloride. These products are designed to melt ice and are safe for use on concrete surfaces. Simply sprinkle the product over the ice and it will start to melt.
- Use hot water. Pour a bucket of hot water over the ice to melt it. Be sure not to use water that is too hot, as this could cause the concrete to crack.
