Walking the CONEXPO Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center this week was an incredible reminder of just how fast innovation is moving in construction and heavy equipment. A few highlights that stood out:

-Smart technology everywhere – Robots, sensors, automation, and connected equipment in nearly every hall (and outside too). The integration of data and machines is clearly shaping the future of job sites.
– Some vendors definitely brought their sense of humor to their booths — which made walking miles of exhibits a lot more fun.
-The scale of the equipment was impressive — and by impressive I mean really big machines that make you stop and stare.
– A personal favorite: the CAT equipment demo in the Festival Grounds. Seeing that power and precision in action is always a highlight.
