CONFAST® Double expansion anchors are designed for anchoring into concrete, brick or block base material. Inserting a machine-threaded bolt into the anchor expands the Double Expansion Anchor against the concrete at two points. It is made from Zamac, a non-rusting material, and is available in diameters ranging from 1/4″ to 3/4″. The double expansion anchor is set flush with the base material and is considered a light to a medium-duty fastener. The double expansion allows for better holding values. Purchase online:

Building a solution: Plastic-to-concrete additive plant opens

CRDC Global is turning hard-to-recycle plastic into a concrete additive in Pennsylvania and plans to expand across the country as quickly as it can.

The company in mid-October brought its first commercial-scale facility in the United States on-line in York, Pa. Ross Gibby, CRDC chief operating officer, told Plastics Recycling Update that while the company has “some pretty aggressive goals,” the plastics issue merits such aims.

CRDC takes plastics and turns them into an additive for structural concrete called RESIN8, which reduces weight, slows water absorption and improves insulation. Read more: https://resource-recycling.com/plastics/2022/11/01/building-a-solution-plastic-to-concrete-additive-plant-opens/
